"Nothing will ever change unless we do something."
On July 13th, Netflix finally dropped the first official trailer and poster for Season 2, announcing a new story following the previous season.
The poster shows members of the 103rd Division Military Police Investigation Department, Ahn Jun-ho (Jung Hae-in), Han Ho-yeol (Koo Gyo-hwan), Park Beom-gu (Kim Sung-kyun), and Lim Ji-seop (Son Seok-goo), facing harsh reality.
A dog tag necklace was placed in front of Junho's face just as in the season 1 teaser poster. Members and bloody dog tags on the poster suggested a crisis.
The trailer begins with Jun-ho and Ho-yeol. The two struggle to bring the deserter back "safe and sound."
However, Jun-ho asks, "How about we don't catch him?" This could lead to a conflict with the Armed Forces Headquarters, which is solely concerned with covering up the incident.
"Season 1 focused on the story of a deserter, and Season 2 focused more on the deserter pursuit team (D.P.)," said Koo Gyo-hwan.
Meanwhile, 'D.P.2' is the story of Jun-ho and Ho-yeol, members of the D.P. team, constantly confronting with absurdities and unchanging reality.
