Jihyo of TWICE received the spotlight from Grammy.
On Tuesday (August 1), Grammy released "15 albums you must listen to in August" on the official website. Jihyo's first solo album "ZONE" was among them.
Grammy introduced Jihyo as an artist known for "her passionate, energetic performances and a powerful voice."
Grammy wrote, "TWICE — one of the most acclaimed K-pop girl groups in history — have started branching out their skills into solo careers and sub-units." And it added, "Now, it's time for leader and main vocalist Jihyo to show the world her unique colors."
Prior to her solo debut, Jihyo pre-released some of her songs. On August 4th, she posted "Snippet of Killing Me Good", a pre-release video of 'Killin' Me Good', the title track of 'Zone'.
Her intense eyes caught the attention of people in the video as she smiled leisurely on the sofa.
Jihyo foreshadowed her unique charm with the lyrics "You're killin' me killin' me good."
'Killing Me Good' is a song written by J.Y. Park. The rhythmic and groovy sound and Jihyo's rich tone will create synergy.
Jihyo will release her 1st mini album 'Zone' on August 18 at 1p.m. (KST).
