BTS' V makes his debut as a solo artist.
On August 8, Big Hit Music announced, "V will release his first solo album 'Layover' simultaneously worldwide at 1:00 p.m. on September 8."
The album contains a total of 6 songs, including 'Rainy Days', 'Blue', 'Love Me Again', 'Slow Dancing', and 'For Us'.
The title song is 'Slow Dancing' is a song with a romantic soul style from the 1970s, evoking a free and laid-back atmosphere.
'Rainy Days' is a song in which V's voice melds beautifully with the sound of rain and everyday white noise.
'Blue' is an homage to old school R&B with a modern twist. 'Love Me Again' is a R&B track with V's signature baritone. 'For Us' is a pop R&B track that stirs up deep emotions with V's vocals and unique lyrics. Lastly, there is also a piano version of 'Slow Dancing' at the end of the album as a bonus track.
The music videos for all five tracks will also be revealed. BIGHIT Music stated, "To fully appreciate the album's flow, we recommend listening to it in sequence from start to finish."
It is an album in collaboration with Min Hee-jin, producer of 'ADOR'. V suggested Min lead all aspects of the album's production, including music, choreography, design, and promotion.
This album reflects the fresh collaboration between the two. There is high anticipation that 'solo artist' V will show a new side that is different from the BTS.
