Actor Park Jung-min prepared a movie screening for visually impaired people.
According to the Korea Foundation for Persons with Disabilities, Park Jung-min holds a screening of the movie 'Smugglers' (director Ryu Seung-wan) at the Lotte Cinema Dogok on August 17.
100 people were invited to the screening, including the visually impaired, guardians (assistants), and related workers. A theater was reportedly borrowed at Park Jung-min's expense.
Audio described version of 'Smugglers' was played. Audio Description is optional narration that describes what is happening on screen, including physical actions, facial expressions, costumes, settings, and scene changes.
An official of the Foundation said, "Park Jung-min contacted us first, saying he wanted to invite the visually impaired to the screening. He donated all the rentals and all the costs."
The actor is known for his steady good deeds. He participated in the magazine's photo shoot for the homeless, the barrier-free film narration, and the production of audiobooks for the visually impaired.
He also confessed that his father was a visually impaired person in an interview with the Foundation last year.
The movie 'Smugglers' have sold 4.6 million tickets. A List Of Upcoming Films Starring Park Jung-min include 'One Win' and 'Jeon, Ran.'
