IVE's An Yu-jin takes the cover of Esquire Magazine's September 2023 edition.
In the interview, Ahn Yu-jin said "I've always had a desire to sing very well in my heart."
"Trends are always changing, so in the past singing sad songs looked cool, but now I prefer easy listening songs."
Recently, she's been liking husky voices opposite her own, including Canadian singer Jessie Reyez or British singer Mae Muller.
The singer continued, "I am being recognized by more people of all ages through Earth Arcade, and I think it's nice that people think of me as their younger sister living next door through variety shows." She added, "It may be difficult, but I hope I can show a completely different side of myself on stage. I came to the conclusion that I have to prepare really hard to get that kind of reaction."
An Yu-jin said, "It used to be stressful not to be able to pretend. I wondered why I couldn't pretend to be happy, angry, pretty, cute, funny, or sad. However, people told me I looked healthy because I couldn't pretend. So my stress went away a bit after appearing in Earth Arcade."
She smiled brightly, saying, "In fact, whenever I talk about my worries to people around me, people tell me even the way I worry is healthy."
