Singer IU celebrated her 15th debut anniversary with fans.
IU held the "2023 IU Fan Concert I+UN1VER5E" at the KSPO DOME in Seoul's Songpa-gu on the 23rd and 24th of last month, performing for a full 180 minutes.
IU made her entrance by performing "Celebrity" and introduced the concert, saying, "This is my first fan concert since my debut. It's going to be a performance that combines both a concert and a fan meeting."
She filled the setlist with songs that fans wanted to hear, including "Secret Garden," "Strawberry Moon," "Bbi Bbi," "Coin," "Blueming," "Through the Night," and "Heart."
There was also a change in atmosphere with her song choice of "Havana," which she used to raise the excitement to its peak. She also showcased covers of "Rover" and "Candy," displaying her versatile charms.
IU communicated closely with the audience, conducting various segments such as "Uaena's Fan IU," "Best Uaena Awards," and "Uaena Spoilers," expressing her sincerity to the fans.
She said, "This was the happiest time of the year for me. I won't forget it," and expressed her gratitude for the 15th-anniversary celebration, adding, "With the energy I received, I feel like I can run again. Thank you for the congratulations."
She also said, "Please watch over me in the future. Let's write our new, fun, detailed, and great history. Thank you. Let's meet again in 15 years."
IU once again became the encore fairy, performing an encore stage in response to the fans' requests. She also delivered goods to the fans and surprised them with a reverse fan service.
Her agency stated, "Both domestic and international Uaenas (fandom name) have come closer under the name 'IU Universe.' It was a true festival where the artist and fans became one."
They added, "IU poured her genuine feelings towards Uaenas into this performance. With the love of the fans, she will continue to repay them with great activities."
IU is currently filming the drama "Pokssak Sotatsuda," a new work by screenwriter Lim Sang-choon (known for "Fight for My Way" and "When the Camellia Blooms"), directed by Kim Won-seok PD (known for "Misaeng," "Signal," and "My Mister"). "Pokssak Sotatsuda" is Jeju dialect for "You've worked hard" and is set in 1950s Jeju, telling the story of Aesoon (played by IU) and Gwansik (played by Park Bo-gum).
