On the 25th, Soojin opened a YouTube channel named 'SOOJIN' and uploaded a dance performance video titled 'BLACK FOREST.'

In the 1-minute and 59-second black-and-white video, Soojin elegantly danced to the music. Two dancers wearing eye masks appeared, dancing in sync with Soojin. After the dancers left, Soojin continued with a splendid solo performance before the video concluded. The video received a significant response, garnering over 150,000 views within 4 hours of its release.

Meanwhile, Soojin faced allegations of school violence in February 2021. An online user, identified as A, claimed that Soojin had physically assaulted and extorted money from another student during her school days. After a series of back-and-forth disputes, Soojin decided to leave (G)I-DLE in August of the same year and terminated her exclusive contract with Cube Entertainment the following year.

Soojin attempted to put an end to the controversy by pursuing legal action against the person who made the allegations. However, the police concluded that there was "no evidence of wrongdoing" on the part of the person making the allegations. The decision was based on the possibility that the allegations could be true and that there was no malicious intent behind the accusations. In light of this situation, Soojin decided that further legal action to prove the truth was reaching its limits and chose not to pursue legal proceedings. In June, she opened an Instagram account and shared updates about her life.
