SEVENTEEN Makes Japan Chart History with 'Seventeenth Heaven'
by. Kim jiwon

According to the latest Billboard Japan chart (dated November 1), SEVENTEEN topped the Billboard Japan Hot Albums chart with their 11th mini album 'SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN'.

It recorded the highest album sales during the tracking period (October 23-29), selling 548,550 copies in the first week of release.

The new album also topped the Download Album chart and Top Album Sales chart, beating Stray Kids, CNBLUE, and Yoasobi. And SEVENTEEN took first place on the Artist 100 chart with its highest album sales.

The group is making new K-pop history with its album. Hanteo Chart has now reported that 'SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN' sold 5,091,887 copies in the first week of its release.

SEVENTEEN dominated Melon, Genie, and Bugs. Seventeen is the only boy group who landed at No. 1 on the Melon's Hot 100 chart this year

The album title comes from adding the unique meaning to "7th Heaven" (a state of extreme happiness). Members unite with Carats (fandom name) as 'Team SVT', holding a massive festival to celebrate their achievements together.

'SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN' is an album containing a total of 8 songs, including 'SOS', 'Back to Back', 'Monster', 'Yawn', 'Diamond Days' and 'Headliner'.

Meanwhile, the band will head to Saitama where it will continue the 'Follow to Japan' series at Belluna Dome on November 23-24.
