by. Kim jiwon

On November 6, Billboard announced that SEVENTEEN's new mini album "SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN" had debuted at No. 2 (dated November 11) on its 200 Albums chart.

The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the U.S. based on multi-metric consumption as measured in equivalent album units, compiled by Luminate. Units comprise album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA).

'SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN' could land at No. 2 thanks to its high album sales. According to Billboard, the album sold about 98,000 copies in North America.

A total of four albums made entry into the top 10 of Billboard in addition to this new album: 'Face the Sun' (No. 7), 'Sector 17' (No. 4), and 'FML' (No. 2).

The album title comes from adding the unique meaning to "7th Heaven" (a state of extreme happiness). Members unite with Carats (fandom name) as 'Team SVT', holding a massive festival to celebrate their achievements together.

SEVENTEEN became the first group in Korea to exceed 5 million copies in the first week. According to the Hanteo Chart, 5,091,887 copies were sold in the first week of its release.

Meanwhile, Taylor Swift's 1989 blasted in at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, scoring the superstar her 13th No. 1 on the chart.
