The four members of BTS will begin their mandatory military service in December.

Big Hit Music announced on November 22, "RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook have begun the process of enlisting for their mandatory military service."

RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook are currently preparing to fulfill their military service duties. All four will fulfill mandatory military duty as active duty soldiers.

An official stated, "We ask for your warm support and love until the members fulfill their military service obligations and return in good health. Updates regarding military enlistment will be provided at a later date."

Jin and J-Hope will be discharged from the military next year. The remaining members will complete their service in 2025. BTS plans to reconvene as a group again around 2025 following their military service commitments.
