In the city of Gyeongseong in 1945, Park Seo-joon and Han So-hee encounter a monster born of human greed.
Netflix released a poster and trailer for the new series 'Gyeongseong Creature' on November 23, teasing the mysterious plot and Jang Tae-sang's first meeting with Yoon Chae-ok.
'Gyeongseong Creature' is an action thriller. In Seoul's grim era under colonial rule, an entrepreneur and a sleuth fight for survival and face a monster born out of human greed.
In the released poster, Tae-sang and Chae-ok confront a mysterious creature. Hands desperately stretched out from the prison bars on either side of the two attract attention.
The trailer depicts the changes in the relationship between Tae-sang and Chae-ok. Their first encounter begins with guns pointing at each other, but they soon join forces to survive.
Park Seo-joon portrays Tae-sang, the owner of the best pawn shop in Gyeongseong. Tae-sang meets Chae-ok to find Inspector Ishikawa's missing mistress before the cherry blossoms fall. Han So-hee portrays Chae-ok, a specialist in finding missing people.
An official stated, "Tae-sang and Chae-ok begin their fight for survival in the grim era. The two will face a huge conspiracy and terrible secrets."
"The story creates tension and shows young people struggling for survival," said Park Seo-joon. Han So-hee also added, "I'm looking forward to the diversity that period dramas and creatures will show."
Part 1 will debut on December 22, while Part 2 will begin streaming on January 5, 2024.
