BOYNEXTDOOR Apologizes for Excessive Security Measures..."Contacting the Victim, Prevent Recurrence"
by. Gawon Park

The management of BOYNEXTDOOR has apologized for the controversy surrounding excessive security personnel.

On the 19th, KOZ Entertainment stated, "We apologize for the issue that arose on the 16th at Qingdao Airport involving inappropriate behavior by the security personnel of BOYNEXTDOOR."

The incident had spread through social media, where a security guard forcefully pushed a fan who was filming the members with a camera at the airport, causing the fan to fall. There was a risk of significant injury.

The agency mentioned, "We have personally apologized to the individual directly affected by the incident. We are inquiring about their mental and physical well-being and the condition of their belongings for post-care."

They promised measures to prevent a recurrence, stating, "The security personnel involved will not be assigned to our artist's activities in the future. We will strengthen security guidance and education to prevent such incidents."

This is not the first time there has been controversy over excessive security measures. In July, there was a controversy over body searches, including inspecting female fans' underwear, during a fan signing event for the group &TEAM.
