Singer and actress IU shared her experience on her first visit to HYBE, the agency of BTS.
On December 26, the 24th episode of BTS Suga's 'Suchwita' was released on BTS's official YouTube channel.
IU, who appeared on the show as a guest, began by saying, "I was tired on my way here today, but as soon as I entered this building, I came to my senses. It was my first time visiting HYBE, and I thought it was really different."
"Can you taste the capital?" Regarding Suga's joke, IU replied "I can tell. I got in the elevator, and wondered why it's so wide and shiny. And when I came in, they checked my ID very thoroughly."
IU added, "I brought my passport with me in case they don't let me in. Because it's HYBE, right? Anyway, I really like the building."
The two talked about the collaboration song 'Eight' released in 2020. Suga said, "I wasn't the member who first wanted to collaborate." And IU confessed, "At first, I asked him if I could get RM's contact information."
IU recalled, "I was not in the best mood at the time, but I wanted at least to turn these feelings into a song. So I received (RM's) contact information, but I couldn't contact him."
The singer continued, "The idea of the song itself almost petered out. So I named the title first. It seemed like the lethargy continued like an eight-year-old kid, and I was 28 years old (at the time), so I named it 'Eight'. As we are at the same age, I thought we would be a good match (for a collaboration)."
