The Most Successful K-pop Song and Album of the Year... NewJeans' "Ditto" and Seventeen's "FML"

The most popular K-pop song of the year is "Ditto" by NewJeans, and the top album is "FML" by Seventeen.

According to the Digital Top 200 Chart released by Circle Chart on the 29th covering the period from January 1 to December 23, NewJeans placed four songs in the top 10, including "Ditto" at No. 1, "Hype Boy" at No. 2, "OMG" at No. 4, and "Attention" at No. 8.

IVE also entered the top 10 with three songs, including "I AM" (3rd place), "Kitsch" (6th place), and "After LIKE" (10th place).

Other entries on the chart include Yoonha's "Event Horizon" at 5th place, (G)I-DLE's "Queencard" at 7th place, and Park Jae-jung's "Let's Say Goodbye" at 9th place, the only male artist in the top 10.

This year's Digital Top 200 Chart saw a strong presence of girl group songs, with 17 out of the top 20 songs being by female artists.

Seventeen's unit BSS's "Fighting" ranked 19th, and BTS Jungkook's "Seven" ranked 20th.

On the other hand, the album chart showed a dominance of boy groups.

According to the Circle Chart's Album Top 100, Seventeen's tenth mini-album "FML" topped the chart with 5,547,232 copies sold. Their eleventh mini-album "SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN" also ranked 3rd with 4,804,563 copies sold.

Stray Kids secured 2nd place with their 3rd album "FIVE STAR" (5,248,206 copies) and 4th place with their eighth mini-album "Rockstar" (3,948,623 copies).

Following them were NCT Dream's "ISTJ" at 5th place, Tomorrow X Together's "The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION" at 6th place, "The Name Chapter: FREEFALL" at 7th place, and Jungkook's "GOLDEN" at 8th place.

In the top 20 of the Album Chart, 15 were albums by male artists, with aespa's "MY WORLD" ranking the highest among girl groups at 9th place.
