Actor Lee Sung-kyung has been spreading warmth through charity since the beginning of the new year.

According to YG Entertainment, her agency, on the 10th, Lee Sung-kyung donated 100 million won to Dankook University Hospital last year. This donation was made in connection with her appearance in the SBS drama 'Dr. Romantic.' In the drama, Lee Sung-kyung played the role of Cha Eun-jae, a trauma surgeon specializing in chest surgery at the Doldam Hospital Trauma Center, leaving a deep impression.

Lee Sung-kyung stated, "Through my participation in a medical drama, I became interested in the essential field of trauma treatment in medicine. I wanted to contribute, even in a small way, to the development of the medical field, especially in trauma treatment, and to help save trauma patients by indirectly experiencing the reality of trauma treatment in our country."

The donated funds will be used to establish and improve the medical system of the Dankook University Hospital Trauma Center, which is responsible for emergency surgery and treatment of severe trauma patients in the Chungnam region.

Lee Sung-kyung, who has been actively contributing to the spread of 'positive influence' through continuous donations, is involved in various social contributions, including challenges to support single mothers, low-income families, vulnerable children, pediatric cancer patients, and donations of OST music proceeds. Her consistent acts of kindness, actively seeking places in need, have become a source of inspiration for many.

At the end of last year, Lee Sung-kyung won the 'SBS Acting Grand Prize' and the 'Seoul Con Apan Star Awards' Best Acting Award for 'Dr. Romantic.' and released the digital single 'Eat Sleep Live Repeat.'
