An investigation series starring Park Bo-gum and Kim So-hyun is currently in production.
JTBC's new drama 'Good Boy' (written by Lee Dae-il, directed by Shim Na-yeon) is a story about medalists in international competitions who decided to become police officers through Olympic special recruitment. They now wear their police IDs instead of medals as they encounter a lot of immoral and foul people.
Park Bo-gum and Kim So-hyun are confirmed as the lead characters. Park Bo-gum plays the role of Yoon Dong-ju, a police officer in the violent crime squad. Dong-ju was a former Olympic boxing gold medalist who later became a police officer.
He became an Olympic hero with his stamina and fists, but he began his second life as a police officer after experiencing setbacks.
Kim So-hyun plays the role of Ji Hanna, also an Olympic gold medalist. She became very popular because of her outstanding beauty, but was forced to quit shooting and embark on a police career. Her character normally appears calm and quiet, but when it comes to love and work, she goes straight and forthright.
Producer Shim Na-yeon known for JTBC's 'The Good Bad Mother', 'Monster', and 'At Eighteen' took charge of directing. Writer Lee Dae-il known for 'Chief of Staff', 'Life on Mars', and 'Bring It On, Ghost' wrote the script.
"It is a thrilling story about Olympic heroes who left a world where there were rules fight violent crimes with unconscionability and foul play," the production crew stated. "Bo-gum and Kim So-hyun will present their own stories as heroes fighting injustice."
Anticipate 'Good Boy' airing later in 2024.
