Red Velvet Irene Renews Contract With SM Entertainment

Red Velvet's Irene has renewed her contract with SM Entertainment.

SM Entertainment announced the renewal of the contract with Irene on Thursday. "The contract was renewed based on deep trust. We will fully support various activities in the future," the company announced.

She is the second member of Red Velvet to renew his contract. Earlier, Seulgi of Red Velvet announced that she will continue her relationship with the company. An official said, "We will support in various ways so that we can be more active."

"I trusted the staff and the company that I worked with since our debut," Irene said. "Thank you to the fans who always support Red Velvet. I hope to show good performance again this year."

This year marks the 10th anniversary of Red Velvet's debut. In August 2014, they threw their hat into the music industry with "Happiness." They released hit songs such as "Red Flavor," "Peekaboo," "Psycho," and "Feel My Rhythm."

Last year, they met their fans with the third regular album. The album "Chill Kill" topped various music charts. It topped the iTunes Top Album Chart in 35 regions worldwide, achieving global popularity.

Meanwhile, Red Velvet will visit Japan from the 21st to the 22nd. It will perform on the stage of "SM Town Live 2024 SMCU Palace @Tokyo" at Tokyo Dome.
