BTS Jimin, 'Most Popular K-pop Idol 2023'

Jimin of BTS has been selected as the most popular K-pop idol of 2023, shining a global presence.

Jimin won first place in the "Most Popular K-pop Idols 2023" vote held by the global fan voting site Shining Awards.

Jimin won a total of 522,616 votes, ranking first with 46.95% of the vote.

Jimin previously won the 1st place of King Choice's "King Of Kpop 2023" for five consecutive years since 2019, the 1st place of the Shining Awards "King Of Kpop" for two consecutive years, and also won Debeme's "Kpop Idol of the Year 2023," proving his global popularity and unrivaled position.

Jimin, who has been listed as "King Of Kpop" on the British-American dictionary site Urban Dictionary since 2019, and is called the "only K-pop frontman," has been established as one of the most popular K-pop artists, including being selected as one of the two Asian members by the Guardian in 2018.

In particular, he released the album "FACE" in March last year, his first solo career since his debut, and topped Billboard's main single chart "Hot 100" with the title song "Like Crazy," becoming the first Korean solo artist to achieve historical achievements and winning the "2023 MAMA AWARDS" Best Male Artist award.

Meanwhile, after entering the Army's 5th Infantry Division on December 12th last year, Jimin released a fan song "Closer Than This," which contains the message of unchanging love and promise, and continues to be a popular and shining artist who represents K-pop even during his military service.
