WayV released a new photo shoot through Arena Homme Plus. Winwin of the six members unfortunately couldn't participate in the shoot due to his schedule for the drama, but the five members Kun, Ten, Xiaojun, Hendery, and Yangyang talked about their future goals from the time they first dreamed of becoming singers.
Kun, the leader, said that members often have meetings to talk about unity. "The only ones who can tell each other about their weaknesses are the members. They point out weaknesses of each other then help to overcome it. We try to have that kind of time more often." WayV's favorite menus are hot pot and pork belly.
Ten, who is from Bangkok, Thailand, expressed his feelings ahead of the Asian tour. "I thought this concert would be nice to feel like we are at a festival. It's an atmosphere where we can all enjoy music together rather than just watching a performance. In that regard, I paid a lot of attention to lighting and setting the stage. And I wanted fans to feel 'cool!' when they returned home. (laughs)"
Xiaojun majored in musical when he was in college. He mentioned acting in a musical as something he wants to try out in the future. "Among musical pieces, I really like 'Big Fish'. It is also famous for Tim Burton's movie. Among the plays, Edward Bloom, who played the main character and father, comes to my mind first. In the perspective of an audience, he is a complicated character in many ways. In that respect, he is a character that I really want to try."
Hendery, who usually enjoys playing games, has a dream. "I actually have a dream. Making a theme song for the 'League of Legends' world championship! It's something that any musician who loves 'League of Legends' would dream of. It's vague, but it's one of my dreams that I really want to achieve."
Yangyang talked about WayV's unique characteristics. "WayV members can speak many languages. Chinese, English, Korean, Thai, and so on. As many languages as there are, music can also be more diversified. As I mentioned earlier, there are emotions that can be conveyed in certain languages better. I think the different languages we speak will broaden the spectrum of our music."
Interviews and photoshoots expressing WayV's sincerity can be found in the March issue of Arena Homme Plus.
