Actor Tang Wei and singer IU showed off a special friendship. They released handwritten letters to each other.

IU released a letter written by Tang Wei on social media on the 23rd, saying, "The letter and photos sent by Tang Wei shortly after the shooting."

IU released a music video for "Shh.." from her sixth mini album "The Winning." Tang Wei and IU performed together. This is the first time Tang Wei has appeared in a Korean music video.

Tang Wei said, "There were two touching moments I felt while filming," adding, "The moment I heard the lyrics of 'Her mother with eyes similar to hers' written by IU, there was a certain resonance in my heart."

Through this shooting, I was able to think about my mom again. "I wanted to take a close look at my mom's face or take a picture with her to look over it for a long time," she said. 

She also mentioned IU on the filming site. "It was honestly hard to imagine when I met you. You kept it quiet and calm in the same pose for a very long time," she remembered. 

Tang Wei said, "I felt like my own mom from her childhood was right next to me, which I've never imagined," adding, "The moment I thought about it, I was really emotional. Thank you for making such beautiful memories." 

She finished her writing by saying, "I wish you happiness and good health. I am your fan, Tang Wei, who will look forward to your songs a lot in the future."

IU also responded with a handwritten letter to Tang Wei. She said, "Thank you for being my 'cryptic girl,' which was so complicated and beautiful that it couldn't be easily expressed. I'll always love you." 

Tang Wei and IU played a special relationship in the music video. They depicted a relationship of a daughter, a mother, and a friend. They performed intimate acting. 

Meanwhile, "Shh.." is a bluesy song. It changes to R&B and rock depending on the singer. It features Cho Won-sun and Hye-in of New Jeans. Patti Kim is in charge of the special narration.
