Lee Know of Stray Kids has been appointed to a group of high-value donors.
World Vision said on Friday that Lee Know has been appointed the Bob Pierce Honor Club, adding that he has also become the youngest member ever. "We will make every effort to convey his good influence."
Bob Pierce Honor Club is a group of donors that donate and sponsor in large amounts. Among the sponsors who have accumulated a donation of more than 100 million won (88,400 U.S. dollars), those who take the lead in promoting the value of sharing are appointed as members of the Bob Pierce Honor Club.
It is a donation group that encourages the establishment of a culture of donation by transparently disclosing the results of sponsorship. Various different individuals such as Park Jin-young producer of JYP Entertainment, are spreading the value of sharing.
In January, Lee Know donated 100 million won to World Vision's Global Food Crisis Response Project. It helped children in the poorest countries who are facing food shortages due to climate change. In February last year, he also participated in emergency relief for the earthquake in Turkey and Syria.
This is not all. Starting with the sponsorship of World Vision's overseas children in 2014, he has been affiliated with a total of four domestic and foreign children so far, supporting them. He is also taking the lead in sharing activities for marginalized neighbors.
Lee Know said, "I'm grateful that if I can help even if it little," and added, "I'll think about what I can do in my place and deliver the love I received."
Meanwhile, Bang Chan, Lee Know, Hyunjin, Han, and Seungmin met 16 teenagers who are dreaming of becoming singers in October last year with World Vision and hosted "Dream Day."
They shared their concerns about their career as mentors and supported their dreams of children and adolescents. The members told stories about their experiences, gave advice, and taught choreography themselves.
