Jungkook, Top of 'Billboard K-pop Artist 100'

Jungkook of BTS proved his unrivaled solo power. He topped the Billboard K-pop Artist 100 chart.

Billboard unveiled its first list of "Billboard K-pop Artists 100" on the 27th (local time) to commemorate the launch of "Billboard Korea" in May and June.

Billboard K-Pop Artist 100 is the list that Billboard and Billboard Korea released together for the first time this year. The artist was chosen from some of the best artists on Billboard's main chart.

The results of last year's (as of January 7th, 2023 to December 30th, 2023) of "Billboards 200," the main single chart "Hot 100" and "Box Score Top Tour Chart" were compiled.

Jungkook topped the Billboard K-pop Artist 100. Stray Kids, Fifty Fifty, New Jeans, TomorrowXTogether, Seventeen, and ATEEZ followed.

The Billboard K-pop Artist 100 introduced artists individually and explained the reason for the selection. Notably, Jungkook, who won first place, was highlighted.

Billboard said, "Jungkook truly depicted the nickname 'Golden Star of BTS'," adding, "Jungkook's solo debut single 'Seven' debuted at No. 1 on 'Billboard Hot 100'."

Further more, they announced that "He won the top spot in 'Billboard Global 200' for seven weeks, topped 'Global Song of the Summer' and was selected as the top global K-pop at the 'Billboard Music Awards'."

Meanwhile, Billboard Korea will hold a launching event in May. It will invite artists selected for the Billboard K-pop Artist 100 and other major figures in the entertainment industry.
