Some delightful news were delivered to Jennie of BLACKPINK, who is making a "solo" move.

The British Recording Industry (BPI) announced on the 8th (local time) that Jennie had received a silver certification through "One Of The Girls."

Jennie has appeared in the HBO drama "The Idol" with pop stars The Weeknd and Lily Rose Depp. "One of the Girls" is the original sound track of the drama.

BPI's criteria for a silver certification is to sell 200,000 copies of a single and 60,000 copies of an album. Jennie's "One of the Girls" was ranked 37th in the UK's official single chart "Top 100" as of Sunday. She has been on the Top 100 for 15 weeks, showing off Jennie's potential in the UK. 

According to a foreign news outlet "Soompi," Jennie has become the first female K-pop solo artist to receive a silver certification. She is the third K-pop solo artist to receive a silver certification, following Psy and Jungkook of BTS.

Jennie founded OA (Odd Atelier), her personal agency for solo activities. Currently, she is showing off her solo career by collaborating with Yoo Jae-suk, the national MC, on "Apartment 404," a Korean entertainment show.

There were also reports that Jennie will appear in star producer Kim Tae-ho's new variety show "My Name Is Gabriel." However, officials said Jennie's appearance has not been confirmed yet.

Meanwhile, Jennie seems to be making a solo comeback. On March 3rd, she released a piece of her collaboration with Matt Champion of the band Brockhampton on social networking sites. 

The title is "Slow Motion," which was touted as a drum and bass song, and it is said to be dreamy and free.
