Jungkook Becomes the First K-Pop Solo Singer to Record 1 Billion Streams

Jungkook of BTS showed off his global popularity even while serving in the military. He recorded 1 billion streams this year on Spotify.

"Jungkook has exceeded 1 billion streams on Spotify this year alone," the World Music Awards (WMA) announced on the 26th, adding, "He is the first and only K-pop solo artist to achieve the record."

Jungkook recently set a new record on Spotify with his two songs (Seven, Left and Right) and recorded more than a total of 900 million streams. He is the first K-pop solo artist and the second K-pop singer to do so.

He also set a new record as an Asian solo artist. He has the most songs streamed over 400 million streams, including Seven, 3D, Standing Next to You, Dreamers, Left and Light, Euphoria.

It's a record-setting march. Jungkook has over 5.2 billion streams on all his Spotify accounts. His solo album "Golden" has already topped 3 billion streams. He is the first K-pop solo artist to set this record.
