by. Jisu kim

BTS has proven its global popularity once again.

The Recording Industry Association of Japan announced the February streaming certification on its official website on the 28th. If the cumulative number of streams exceeds a certain level, it is included in the list.

BTS was certified with a song that was released seven years ago. The song "Spring Day," has exceeded 100 million streams.

This marks the 15th certification they have received following "Dynamite," "Butter" and "Permission to Dance" and more.

"Spring Day" is an alternative hip hop genre song. It combines British rock sentiment with electronic sound. It has a lyrical and sentimental chorus part.

It has been on the rise in domestic and international charts every spring. It ranked No. 1 in Japan's Oricon chart "Daily Digital Single Ranking" (December 12) last year.

BTS's works that received a gold certification were also released at the association's presentation. This includes "Black Swan."

"Black Swan" has been played more than 50 million times in Japan alone since its release in 2020. It has become the 40th gold-certified song in more than four years since its release.

Meanwhile, all members of the BTS are fulfilling their military service obligations.
