by. Meenyoung

SEVENTEEN topped the Oricon chart with its best album.

According to Japan's Oricon, SEVENTEEN ranked No. 1 in the latest weekly album rankings with its best album, 17 IS RIGHT HERE, which sold 333,000 copies.

It is the biggest weekly album sales of any male or female artist in Korea this year. SEVENTEEN topped the chart for the 12th time in its career, continuing its streak of No. 1 ranking for foreign artists.

There is more. SEVENTEEN ranked No. 1 in eight consecutive albums based on its ninth mini album "Attacca," which was released in 2021. It boasted music power that never cooled down in Japan.

"17 IS RIGHT HERE" has topped major domestic and international charts with an unusual performance for the best album. It became a double million seller on the day of its release.

The triple million seller is just around the corner. The album's initial sales surpassed 2.96 million copies, topping the Hanteo Chart's weekly chart.

The title track, "Maestro," also hit the domestic and international music charts. It topped iTunes' Top Songs chart in 32 countries/regions and topped the World Wide Song Chart.

New unit songs were also popular. Hip-hop team's LALALI, performance team's Spell, and vocal team's "Cheers to youth" topped major domestic charts including Melon and Bugs.

Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN is holding an encore tour titled "FOLLOW AGAIN" in Korea and Japan. They will visit Yanmar Stadium in Osaka from May 18th to 19th.
