"A" is a major shareholder who owns about 70% of Connect and is known to be the actual owner. Connect includes Kang Daniel, Chancellor and Yuju, and Kang Daniel himself founded the company in 2019 and has held the CEO position.

Kang Daniel's side claims that "A" signed a music distribution contract worth 10 billion won by using his status as a major shareholder to embezzle company funds and steal his name to stamp the corporate seal. In December 2022, "A" signed a pre-paid distribution contract by stealing Kang Daniel's name and secretly stamping the corporate seal, and Kang Daniel only learned about this in January last year, about a month after signing the contract.

Pre-paid distribution contract refers to a contract in which the singer receives a large amount of investment from the distributor and pays it back through profits from the sale of music and recordings.

Connect received about 8.8 billion won from the contract, and Kang Daniel repaid about half of his activities after releasing his album "REALIEZ" last year, but he still has about 4.5 billion won left to repay.

In addition, Kang Daniel claims that "A" withdrew a large amount from his agency's account, used his corporate card inappropriately, or withdrew a large amount from Kang Daniel's personal account without his consent.

Kang Daniel is expected to naturally break up with the agency after the end of his contract period as his exclusive contract with Connect is set to expire early next month.
