NCT's Doyoung touched hearts with his first solo concert, '2024 Doyoung Concert [Dear Youth,]', held over three days from May 25 to 27 at Kyung Hee University's Peace Hall in Seoul. All three performances sold out completely, and the second day's show was broadcast live online via Beyond Live and Weverse, reaching fans across the globe, including in the United States, Australia, Japan, Taiwan, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Thailand.
The concert's title, 'Dear Youth,' encapsulates the intention to provide a special, otherworldly space for young people to escape reality and share unique moments with Doyoung. The concert featured an all-live band, with Doyoung personally playing the piano for his heartfelt solo debut title track 'Firefly,' as well as songs from his first album 'Youth,' such as 'Lost in California,' 'Dallas Love Field,' performing all ten tracks to enthusiastic applause.
Doyoung also delivered a medley of essential NCT tracks in acoustic versions. The setlist was further enriched with covers like 'Fly Me to the Moon,' as well as OST and collaboration tracks like 'Like a Star.'
The concert opened and closed with Doyoung's original song 'Beginning,' symbolizing the anticipation at the start and evoking emotion with a grand finale arrangement.
Doyoung shared a heartfelt letter with the final performance.
The audience responded with loud cheers and singing. To express his gratitude, Doyoung premiered a new self-composed song, 'Dear,' delivering a touching message: "You are always loved."
Following the Seoul concerts, Doyoung will embark on a tour across nine cities, with a total of 14 performances in Asia.
