BTS Member Jimin Donates Scholarship to Support Students in Need in Gyeongnam

BTS member Jimin has donated a scholarship to support students in Gyeongnam facing financial difficulties.

On the 30th, the Gyeongnam Provincial Office of Education announced that Jimin's father donated 100 million KRW on behalf of his son, who is currently serving in the military. The scholarship donation ceremony was held at the provincial office of education on the same day.

Last month, Jimin's father contacted the provincial office directly to express his intention to donate the scholarship, stating that he wanted to support students in Gyeongnam who are in challenging circumstances.

An official from the Gyeongnam Provincial Office of Education explained, "Although Jimin spent his school years in Busan and does not have a direct connection to Gyeongnam, he donated out of pure intention to support students in the province."

Since 2019, Jimin has been donating scholarships and books to students from low-income families through various provincial education offices, including those in Busan and Jeonnam.

The scholarship will be utilized to assist students from low-income households in Gyeongnam through the Gyeongsangnam-do Future Education Foundation.
