by. Jisu kim

RM of BTS set a record as the first K-pop solo singer to appear on the U.S. Billboard chart.

The US Billboard announced the latest chart (as of June 8th) on the 4th (local time). RM entered as 5th place on the main chart 'Billboard 200' with his 2nd solo album 'Right Place, Wrong Person'.

RM ranked third on that chart with his first solo album 'Indigo' in 2022. He even put this new album on the charts, making it into the 'Top 5' for two consecutive works. This is the first record for a K-pop solo singer.

It also took the top spot on ‘Top Rap Album’. It ranked 2nd in ‘Top Album Sales’ and ‘Top Current Album’.

The title song ‘LOST!’ was ranked 5th in ‘Digital Song Sales’, 44th in ‘Global’ (excluding the U.S.), and 68th in ‘Global 200’.

The song ‘Nuts’ charted at 14th place in ‘Digital Song Sales’, ‘Right Place, Wrong Person’ at 15th place, ‘Groin’ at 18th place, and ‘Domodachi’ at 19th place.

All songs on the album, except for the pre-released song 'Come back to me', succeeded in appearing on the charts. In 'World Digital Song Sales', 'Nuts' (1st place), 'Groin' (2nd place), and 'Domodachi' (3rd place) ranked high.

Meanwhile, BTS members' Billboard performance also stood out. J-Hope's special album 'Hope on the Street VOL.1' re-entered 35th place in 'Top Current Albums' and 50th place in 'Top Album Sales'.

Jimin's first solo album title song 'Like Crazy' was again ranked 196th on the 'Global' (excluding the U.S.) chart.
