‘Seventeen’ unit Jeonghan X Wonwoo set a new record for initial album sales (sales within a week of album release).
Jeonghan X Wonwoo released their first single ‘THIS MAN’ on the 17th. According to Hanteo Chart, ‘This Man’ sold 787,046 copies in the first week.
It set the record for the largest initial release of a K-pop unit album ever. The previous first place was the 'NCT' unit NCT DOJAEJUNG. Their first mini album sold more than 670,000 copies in the first release.
The title song ‘Last Night’ is also very popular. ‘Last Night’ topped the iTunes ‘Top Song’ chart in 26 countries/regions. It also ranked 3rd worldwide.
It also swept the Japanese charts. It entered the top ranks of Japan's largest music site Line Music's 'Song Top 100'. It also ranked first in the Oricon Daily Single Ranking.
'THIS MAN' is an album inspired by an urban legend about witnessing a man through a dream. It was reinterpreted as Jeonghan X Wonwoo's original story.
Meanwhile, Seventeen, to which they belong, will visit the UNESCO headquarters in Paris, France on the 27th (Korean time). Appointed as UNESCO Youth Goodwill Ambassador.
