AESPA breaks Melon weekly chart record for longest run at number one

Aespa (Winter-Giselle-Ning-Ning-Karina) broke the record for the longest number one spot on the Melon Weekly Chart for a song released this year with "Supernova".

Aespa's double title track "Supernova," which was released on the 13th of last month, continued its "sour" box office run by taking the top spot on the Melon Weekly Chart (17-23 June) for five consecutive weeks, setting a record for the longest period of time at the top for a song released this year.

In addition, the song has been on top of the Bucks and Ginny weekly charts for six and five consecutive weeks, respectively, and another title track, "Armageddon," is also ranking in the top 10, proving Aespa's strong music power.

The two titles have achieved the triple crown on Mnet's "M Countdown" and SBS's "Popular Yo," respectively, and won a total of 12 music broadcasting awards, as well as topping the K-pop chart of China's Tencent Music's five music platforms for six consecutive weeks.

Aespa will hold its second solo concert "2024 aespa LIVE TOUR - SYNK : PARALLEL LINE - (2024 aespa LIVE TOUR ? SYNK : PARALLEL LINE ?)" at Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium in Seoul on 29 and 30 July, and will release its Japanese debut single "Hot Mess" on 3 July.
