NCT WISH will serve as an ambassador for the Gwangju Biennale.
The Gwangju Biennale announced on 2 July that it has appointed NCT WISH as an ambassador to promote the 15th Gwangju Biennale, which opens on 7 September.
The Gwangju Biennale said NCT WISH was chosen as an ambassador because it is in line with the image of the Gwangju Biennale, which has established an international reputation as Asia's leading art exhibition for 30 years, starting with the first dialogue in 1995, and has demonstrated a spirit of experimentation in new discourses.
NCT WISH, which debuted in February, is a six-member idol group consisting of Sion, Riku, Yuushi, Jaehee, Ryo, and Sakuya, and is known for its refreshing and positive energy. The group has been attracting attention as the best newcomer of the year.
Gwangju Biennale expects NCT WISH to resonate with the MZ generation and maximise the value of sharing and nurturing the tangible and intangible culture of Gwangju Biennale with its ambassadors.
NCT WISH said, "We are delighted to be selected as an ambassador for the 15th Gwangju Biennale. As an ambassador, we will endeavour to make the Gwangju Biennale known to more people around the world."
Meanwhile, the 15th Gwangju Biennale will be held for 86 days from 7 September to 1 December under the theme of 'Pansori, Resonating for All' at the Gwangju Biennale Exhibition Hall and around Yangnim-dong.
