Jin of BTS has been appointed as the global ambassador for the French luxury jewelry brand Fred.

On the 8th (Korean time), WWD announced that Fred has named Jin as its first global ambassador.

Valérie Samuel, the granddaughter of the founder and currently Fred's Artistic Director and Vice President, explained the decision by saying, "His radiant energy, artistic talent, values, and high standards resonate strongly with us." Jin also expressed his feelings, stating, "I am very honored and grateful to become a member of the Fred family."

Currently, all BTS members except Jin are serving in the military. Jin, who completed his military service and was discharged on the 12th of last month, is actively continuing his activities to fill the void left by the other BTS members.

On the 13th, the day after his discharge, Jin marked BTS's 11th anniversary by participating in a "2024 FESTA" event at Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Songpa-gu, Seoul, where he hugged a thousand fans, returning to the entertainment scene.

Jin is also set to depart for France soon to serve as a torchbearer for the Paris Olympics. His participation as a torchbearer is attributed to BTS's global popularity and their message of "Love Yourself" that they have promoted over the past decade.

Meanwhile, following Jin, J-Hope, Suga, RM, V, Jimin, and Jungkook are scheduled to be discharged sequentially, with full group activities expected to resume in 2025 once all members have completed their military service.
