Jennie from BLACKPINK has issued an apology over the indoor smoking controversy.

On the 9th, her agency OA Entertainment stated, "We sincerely apologize to everyone who felt uncomfortable with Jennie's actions in the content."

The statement continued, "Jennie acknowledges & deeply regrets her mistake of vaping indoors and causing inconvenience to the staff. Jennie has personally apologized to all the staff on-site who may have been affected."

Lastly, they added, "We apologize to her fans who have been disappointed through this incident. We hope to prevent this from reoccurring in the future."

Previously, on the 2nd, Jennie uploaded a vlog on her YouTube channel. In the video, she was seen smoking an e-cigarette indoors while getting her makeup done. The video has since been deleted.

Criticism intensified especially because the staff applying makeup was right in front of Jennie. Netizens pointed out, "Blowing smoke right in front of someone is very disrespectful."
