JEONGHAN X WONWOO, 'THIS MAN' captivates Japan

'SEVENTEEN' unit JEONGHAN X WONWOO achieved significant success in Japan with their first single.

According to the Japan Record Association, JEONGHAN X WONWOO achieved 'Gold' certification with 'THIS MAN'. As of June, cumulative shipments exceeded 100,000 units.

The Japan Record Association certifies ‘double platinum’ (more than 500,000 copies), ‘platinum’ (more than 250,000 copies), and ‘gold’ (more than 100,000 copies) every month depending on the cumulative shipment of singles and albums.

SEVENTEEN has received Gold Disc certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan for a total of 16 albums so far. It was also certified as a special unit album, demonstrating its high popularity in Japan.

'THIS MAN' captivated Japan upon its release last month. It broke the record for the highest initial sales of a K-pop unit album. Initial initial sales exceeded 780,000 copies.

This is not all. Ranked first in the Oricon Daily Single Ranking (as of June 20). It ranked 2nd in the weekly album ranking and weekly combined album ranking, respectively.

The title song ‘Last Night’ (guitar by Park Joo-won) is also popular. Immediately after its release, it maintained the top spot on Line Music's real-time 'Song Top 100', Japan's largest music site. It also ranked 3rd on the Billboard Japan Hot 100.

Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN, to which JEONGHAN X WONWOO belong, will hold a fan meeting 'SEVENTEENin CARAT LAND' (2024 SVT 8TH FAN MEETING <SEVENTEEN in CARAT LAND>) at Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul on the 23rd and 24th.
