BoyNextDoor has confirmed its strong local popularity at the same time as its Japanese debut.
Japan's Oricon released its latest chart (dated 10 July) rankings on the 11th. BoyNextDoor topped the daily singles chart with their first Japanese single, "AND," which was released on 11 July.
This is BoyNextDoor's third consecutive album to top Oricon. Previously, they topped the same chart in Korea with their mini album "WHY.." and mini album "HOW?".
Heat also proved popular. It sold 62,211 copies in the first two days of its release. By the end of the second day, it had sold a total of 163,472 copies. This is nearly double the sales of its predecessor in the first half of the year.
"And." is a trilogy of stories about first love and beyond. It depicts the growth story of a young man who experiences his first love, accepts his breakup, and moves forward.
It contains 4 songs in total. The Japanese versions of "One and only", "But Sometimes", "Earth, wind & fire", and the original song "Good day".
BoyNextDoor is in full swing with their Japanese debut. He has been performing on popular local music broadcasts. They have attracted attention with their solid skills.
Starting with TBS's "CDTV Live! Live!" on the 8th, they will be appearing on various broadcasts and radios, including TBS's "Music Day 2024" on the 13th and NHK's "Venue 101" on the 20th.
In August, BoyNextDoor will also participate in Japan's largest music festival, Summer Sonic 2024. He has also been approached by Japan's leading fashion magazines. He will be on the cover of four magazines.
