This is the 36th donation. Actress Song Hye Kyo has partnered with Sungshin Women's University Professor Seo Kyung Deok.
On the 17th, Professor Seo announced on his social media, "I have joined forces with Song Hye Kyo to donate a guidebook to the Korean independence movement sites in Paris, France."
Seo and Song delivered 10,000 copies of the guidebook to the Korean Institute of France and the Korean Pavilion of the Paris International University Village. It is available in both Korean and French.
The guidebooks detail the history of the Korean independence fighters in Paris, including Seo Young-hae, the Koryo News Agency, the Paris Committee of the Korean Provisional Government, Guji, and the founding of the Korean Friendship Association in Paris.
"Many Koreans and foreigners will be travelling to Paris for the upcoming Olympic Games, and we wanted to introduce them to the sites of the Korean independence movement," said Professor Seo.
Seo and Song have been promoting the independence movement sites for the past 13 years. They have donated Korean-language guides, Korean-language signs, and sculptures of independence fighters to 36 sites.
"We believe that the continued interest and visits of Korean people will be the greatest strength to promote and preserve the neglected independence movement sites overseas," he concluded.
