Jimin, 'Muse' release D-day

‘BTS’ Jimin has completed preparations for his solo comeback. The 2nd solo album ‘MUSE’ will be released on various music sites around the world at 1 PM on the 19th.

This is a new album released about 1 year and 4 months after ‘Face’. Previously, it contained the process of facing the complete ‘me’. ‘Muse’ tells the story of a journey to find inspiration surrounding ‘me’.

This album has the theme of ‘love’. It contains 7 songs, including the title song 'Who', 'Reverse', 'Interlude: Showtime', 'Smeraldo Garden Marching Band', 'Slow Dance', 'Be Mine', and 'Closer Than This'.

Jimin wrote and composed 6 songs himself. He told his true story in the lyrics. 'Jimin tells the story of making various attempts to find love and sometimes wandering.

Producer Pdog collaborated again this time following 'Face'. On the 19th, Pdog revealed the production process and behind-the-scenes details of ‘Muse’ through his agency Big Hit Music.

First, he recalled the process of working on the album. Pdog said, “For this album, we focused on reflecting Jimin’s emotions while working in the music.”

He added, "I worked in Los Angeles, and perhaps because of the feeling the city gave me, songs with happy and positive energy came out."

About the album, he explained, "It was based on a conceptual album as a motif. And I tried to incorporate the excitement I felt when thinking of my muse into the included songs."

At the same time, he left an opinion, saying, "The flow of emotions is reflected in the track order, so it will be more fun if you listen to it and focus on it."

They also shared the work of the title song ‘Who’. “It was made together with John Belion in New York. Jimin directly explained to John Belion what story he wanted to tell, and I remember being very embarrassed,” he said.

You can also hear about his meeting with Jimmy Fallon. “We met Jimmy Fallon by chance in the studio next door. After we finished working, we played the song to him for the first time,” he said.

Pdog said, “Jimin is an artist who is attractive because of his attitude of always working hard.” He added, “After finishing working on the ‘Face’ album, we started producing ‘Muse’ right away, and it got to the point where I thought, ‘He’s working this hard ahead of his military enlistment?’” said.

Lastly, he asked for expectations for the new album, saying, "Thanks to Jimin's efforts, we will be able to see his musical journey grow further."

Meanwhile, Jimin will appear on NBC's popular program 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon', which will be broadcast from 12:35 pm on the 23rd. He will perform the title song ‘Who’ for the first time.
