SHINee's Minho is going to the Paris Olympics as an Olympic™ Friend.
Minho will be attending the 33rd Olympic Games in Paris as an IOC (International Olympic Committee) 'Olympic™ Friend'. He will be watching various events and feeling the excitement of the Games alongside the crowds, as well as cheering on the Korean athletes to victory.
Minho is the first athlete in the world to be appointed as an Olympic™ Friend, a programme created by the IOC to help non-athletes and celebrities spread the Olympic values, and Minho has previously been involved in a variety of activities to promote the Gangwon 2024 Winter Youth Olympic Games, including leading the torch relay in Chuncheon and meeting with luge athletes to showcase the sport.
Minho also has a special connection to the Olympics, having participated in the public diplomacy campaign event "Girls Play 2!" in November 2017, where she made wishes for the successful hosting of the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics, so her attendance at the 33rd Olympic Games in Paris will be highly anticipated.
Meanwhile, Minho will be appearing in JTBC's new Saturday drama "Romance in the House," which premieres on 10 September at 10.30pm, as Nam Tae Pyeong, who lives a my-way life. He will also be making his first theatrical appearance as Val in "Waiting for Godot," which opens at Yes24 Stage 3 on 7 September.
