(G)I-DLE leader Soyeon has revealed her love for the group's activities.
In the Cosmopolitan magazine pictorial released on the 25th, Soyeon's intense eyes and bold poses made her look like a model with cool chic styling, creating a 'legendary' image. It is reported that the staff on the set received a lot of enthusiastic responses from the actress, who exudes the strength of a professional model despite her small size.
As the leader and producer of (G)I-DLE, Soyeon, who has been making hit after hit, said she is "normal" as a creator. "I think people's senses are similar to everyone's, and I think fads come about because we all think similarly and want similar things at certain times, and I'm one of those ordinary people. I'm not as minor as you think (laughs)." So what is it like to appeal to the masses? "One of the things that a lot of people misunderstand is that I'm just trying to provide entertainment for people, and I don't really think I'm going to talk about my own ideas, or my great life view, or my art view, because sometimes life is so boring and hard and upsetting, and I just want to give people something to enjoy as an entertainer." Soyeon responded professionally.
She also showed his attachment to his current summer song 'Klaxon'. "Klaxon" is a kind of metaphor for expressing your feelings loudly and openly. "I'm going to yell at you to leave the car, I love you baby." I think the narrator of "Klaxon" is very attractive. She's so honest that when someone sees her, they're like, "What's wrong with her?" She's not going to be popular with the opposite sex, and she might seem weird and "nerdy" to some people. The girl with the spiky short bombshell hair, the sleeveless top and jeans with her stomach showing, the girl who drives an old convertible. When I write lyrics, I try to think about what the narrator of the song would be wearing and what kind of car they would be driving. I find characters who are honest with their feelings and want to be themselves, even if they're not pretty or well-off, endearing."
When asked who she considers to be "fearless" and strong, she cites his fellow (G)I-DLE member Miyeon as an example. "She doesn't get into deep thoughts, she doesn't get worried or anxious by imagining things that she doesn't know or that haven't happened yet, and I think that's a very strong person, and I feel the most secure when I'm with people like that, so that's why I feel so secure when I'm with Miyeon." When asked if So-yeon is strong, she laughs, "I'm totally weak. I have a lot of imagination, so there are a lot of things that scare me."
Also, for Soyeon, "fun" means talking to the right people. "I'm a person who needs dopamine all the time, and talking is a fun way to spend that time, even if I'm just sitting around. I think it's the most important thing in the world. I get comfort, and I get to experience things second-hand that I couldn't.... When you find someone you can talk to, whether it's a friend or a senior or a junior, you have to be really nice to them (laughs)."
Finally, when the interviewer expressed her hope that (G)I-DLE will continue to be active even when she becomes a grandmother, Soyeon said, "I want to do (G)I-DLE until I die. I don't want to be limited by genres, and I want to show you a variety of music that makes you think, 'Really, you're doing this? ' Well, maybe one day I'll do a trot!" She laughed heartily.
