Hyoyeon of Girls' Generation recently revealed that she is thinking about retirement.
On the 24th, a video was posted on Hyoyeon's 'Hyoyeon's Level Up' channel, in which the singer talks about her singing career with Changbin of the group Stray Kids.
After having dinner with Hyoyeon, they started talking about various topics, and Changbin asked her, "How long do you want to continue singing?"
"That's a question I ask myself every day," she replied seriously.
"I think there are limits to the energy and concepts that a singer can show," he said, adding, "Lately, I've been thinking, 'Will it be this year or next year?
Hyoyeon then asked Changbin, "When do you want me to retire?" which made him laugh.
On the day, Hyoyeon and Changbin chatted about a variety of topics, including comparing their respective agencies, SM and JYP, and revealing that Hyoyeon had actually prepared for a JYP audition.
Hyoyeon, meanwhile, first debuted as a member of Girls' Generation in 2007. As a sub-vocalist and main dancer in Girls' Generation, Hyoyeon was loved by fans for her unique and charming voice and unrivalled dance skills.
In April 2018, Hyoyeon also made her debut as a DJ. Hyoyeon's DJ moniker is "HYO," and SM provided him with DJ equipment and a studio within the company.
Hyoyeon is also active as a DJ, composing and arranging his own solo songs and releasing EDM songs.
In May, he launched his own channel, "Hyoyeon's Level Up," which has garnered up to 500,000 views and has become a favourite with the public.
