Jimin of 'BTS' added a Billboard record.
The U.S. Billboard posted a chart preview (as of August 3) on its website on the 29th (Korean time). It said, "Jimin's 2nd solo album 'Muse' ranked 2nd on 'Billboard 200'."
'Billboard 200' is the main album chart. It ranks by adding up physical album sales, streaming equivalent sales (SEA units), and music download equivalent sales (TEA units).
According to Billboard, 'Muse' sold 74,000 physical albums during the collection period. SEA units sold 15,000 copies, TEA units sold 7,000 copies, for a total of 96,000 copies.
This is the second time a solo album has entered the chart. Jimin ranked 2nd on the Billboard 200 with his first solo album 'FACE' last year. He has settled in the top ranks of the chart for two consecutive albums.
This new album is also doing well on global music charts. The title song 'Who' has been ranked 1st on Spotify's 'Daily Top Song Global' for 5 days (23rd-27th).
Meanwhile, Jimin's 'Muse' is an album that honestly describes the process of finding inspiration surrounding 'me'. It ranked 1st on iTunes 'Top Albums' in 87 countries/regions immediately after its release.
