HYBE has included a mansion owned by Bang Si-hyuk in its disclosure.
According to the Financial Supervisory Service's electronic disclosure system, Chairman Bang declared that he owned 'BEL AIR STRADELLA, LLC' through HYBE's large business group status disclosure.
"The designation of the conglomerate triggered the obligation to disclose the entity," HYBE said on 29 April. "As a matter of practice, the disclosure was simply omitted and has been corrected," it added.
Bel Air Stradella is a US-based real estate company. Its corporate name, "Bel Air Stradella," is also the name of the place where the mansion is located. Mr Vang holds 100% of the company's shares.
Last year, Bang purchased a luxury mansion (833 Stradella Dr.) in Bel Air Stradella Road, a suburb of Los Angeles, for approximately KRW 36.5 billion ($26.4 million).
Bang set up a private real estate entity to buy the expensive home. Typically, individuals buy through property entities for privacy reasons.
However, HYBE was designated as a conglomerate in May, triggering disclosure obligations. Mr Bang's property transactions from two years ago were also disclosed. The company filed a correction to some of the disclosures.
HYBE filed an amended disclosure stating, "Bel Air Stradella is a limited liability company (LLC) with no outstanding shares. As there are no shares outstanding, the number of shares has been omitted and the percentage of ownership based on voting rights has been stated."
Mr Vang's mansion is the size of a five-star hotel. It is three storeys high, with approximately 309 square metres (1020 sq ft) of living space. It has six bedrooms and nine bathrooms. There is a staff to take care of the house.
It has a wide range of facilities. There's a library, gym, lounge, and wine room (with lift). There's a courtyard, outdoor kitchen, bar, infinity pool, sauna, massage facilities, roof terrace, and more.
It's a high-end neighbourhood for Hollywood stars. Bang's neighbours include Paris Hilton and Beyonce. Justin Bieber and Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez are among the famous residents.
The Real Deal analysed the reasons behind the purchase of the mansion last year. "The purchase was prompted by his increasingly frequent stays in the US to expand his business," it said.
