New Jeans' 'OMG' and 'Attention' surpass 700 million and 400 million streams on Spotify, respectively

New Jeans adds significant milestone on Spotify

Girl group New Jeans' "OMG" and "Attention" have added significant milestones on Spotify.

According to Spotify, the world's largest music streaming platform, New Jeans' song "OMG" has been played 735,316 times as of the 30th of last month. This is New Jeans' first single to reach 700 million streams.

In addition, their debut song "Attention" was played 413,668 times on the same day. This makes "Attention" the fifth 400 million-streamed song of New Jeans' career.

Both songs took the world by storm upon release. Released in early January last year, "OMG," along with its companion single "Ditto," swept to the top two spots on major Korean music charts and earned New Jeans, who had only been in the industry for six months at the time, a spot on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. "OMG" was not only popular with the public, but also critically acclaimed, being selected as one of the "Best Songs of 2023" by leading overseas media outlets such as Consequence and Associated Press.

Their debut song "Attention," which was released in August 2022, also became a phenomenal hit on domestic and international charts. Both "OMG" and "Attention" have remained on the charts in Korea, Japan, and other countries to this day.

In total, New Jeans has 12 billion-streamed songs on Spotify. "OMG" has been played more than 700 million times, "Ditto" more than 600 million times, "Super Shay" and "Hype Boy" more than 500 million times each, "Attention" more than 400 million times, "New Jeans," "ETA," and "Cookie" more than 200 million times each, and "Hurt," "Cool With You," "ASAP," and "Get Up" more than 100 million times each. In addition, all songs released by New Jeans to date have been streamed on Spotify collectively for nearly 4.8 billion streams.

Meanwhile, New Jeans' double single "How Sweet" and Japanese debut single "Supernatural" are still going strong, climbing the charts in Korea and abroad even after two months and one month respectively since their release. New Jeans will take the stage at halftime of the '2024 Coupang Play Series' Munich vs Tottenham match at Seoul World Cup Stadium on 3 March at 8pm.
