Actors Kim Yun-seok, Yoon Kye-sang, Go Min-si, and Lee Jung-eun have completed an extremely intense suspense thriller.
On the 6th, Netflix released character stills of the new original series 'In the Forest Where No One Is' (directed by Mo Wan-il). Shin, who gives a glimpse into the character's narrative, has been unveiled.
The genre is a suspense thriller. It depicts the story of people whose peaceful daily lives are shattered and they become entangled in uncontrollable incidents due to a suspicious guest who visits in the middle of summer.
First, Kim Yun-seok is in a furious appearance as Yeong-ha. Yeong-ha is a character who runs a pension in the forest. His deep and anguished gaze is captured in the stills. It foreshadows a meaningful atmosphere.
Yeong-ha leaves Seoul at his wife's request and runs a pension alone, filled with memories of his wife. One summer day, he gets caught up in a whirlpool due to the appearance of an unexpected guest, Seong-ah (played by Go Min-si).
Kim Yun-seok said, "Young-ha is in conflict throughout the film, and Seong-ah provokes Young-ha," and "It's a fight between Seong-ah, who tries to put a monster in Young-ha's heart and conquer him, and Young-ha, who tries to resist him."
This is Kim Yun-seok's first series in 17 years. He said, "It will be able to garner sympathy both domestically and internationally. I hope that there will be many works with such powerful narratives."
Yoon Kye-sang portrayed Sang-jun's contrasting expressions. His smiling face and his expression full of worry were captured. Sang-jun is a sincere motel owner who is put in danger because of a customer.
Yoon Kye-sang explained, "I wanted to express the essence of a sincere and kind person well, so I tried to be less embellished and pure rather than embellishing it," and "I wanted to properly control the emotional gap."
He continued, "It's a work that has a strange charm, and as an actor, it's a work that is both difficult and fun. I have no regrets, and I'm happy that I had a rare experience." Go Min-si revealed a new face. She drew a picture with a heavily made-up face and drank wine with someone. He is a character obsessed with a pension below freezing.
Go Min-si said, "Whenever I read the script, my whole body would get chills and my body would get cold. The flow of the story and the character relationships were so intense that I had no choice but to focus on it."
He also said, "It was the most difficult character. I didn't want to act in a way that made it look absolutely simple or obvious, and I wanted to create a character that was new to me."
Lee Jung-eun transformed into the police station chief Bo-min. She is a former ace of the violent crimes unit who persistently digs into cases and solves them. She approaches cases with her unique intuition and adds tension to the drama.
Lee Jung-eun said, "In a documentary, a detective talked about how he has to read criminals to catch them and the pleasure he gets when he catches them. I approached it as the desire to catch Bo-min being the driving force behind it."
He continued, "I've played a lot of spontaneous and emotional characters so far. Bomin is different," and said, "I learned new things about driving, shooting, and approaching incidents." 'In the Forest Where No One Is' will be released on Netflix on the 23rd.
