'BTS' Jungkook has been nominated for the 'MTV Video Music Awards'.
The '2024 MTV Video Music Awards' released this year's nominees on its official website on the 6th (local time). Jungkook has been nominated for two categories.
Jungkook has been nominated for two categories, 'Best Collaboration' and 'Best K-Pop' for his solo song 'Seven' released last year.
Jungkook will compete with Taylor Swift, Post Malone, and Drake in the 'Best Collaboration' category. He has once again proven his status as a global pop star.
He has been nominated for the 'MTV VMA' award for 3 consecutive years. In 2022, he was the first Korean solo singer to be nominated for the 'Song of Summer' award for his collaboration song 'Left & Right' with Charlie Puth.
At last year's awards ceremony, 'Seven' was selected as the winner of the 'Song of Summer' award. Jungkook became the first Korean solo singer to win in that category.
'Seven' took the world by storm as soon as it was released in July last year. It achieved great results on major global music charts, such as No. 1 on Billboard's 'Hot 100' and No. 3 on the UK's Official Singles Chart.
In April, it ranked No. 1 on Billboard's '2024 International Power Players'. It became the most popular song in over 200 countries and regions around the world, excluding the United States, as certified by Billboard.
Meanwhile, 'MTV VMA' will be held at the UBS Arena in New York on the 10th of next month.
