CUBE ENTERTAINMENT has released an official statement on Soyeon's so-called 'contract termination performance'. It is a stage that was discussed with the agency, and some of the reports are false.

On the 7th, CUBE ENTERTAINMENT stated, "Some media reports regarding Soyeon's solo song 'Is This Bad B***** Number?' Regarding the report that the performance was Jeon So-yeon's sudden action, the company explained, "We have not communicated an official position," and "personal opinions have spread like the official position."

They were aware of the stage performance and lyrics in advance. The agency said, "We have caused concern to those who love (G)I-dle," and "We apologize."

They also mentioned (G)I-dle's contract renewal. "The mentioned time (November) is the exact time of contract termination," he added, adding, "We are currently in amicable discussions about renewing the contract."

(G)I-DLE held the '2024 (G)I-DLE World Tour [Idol] in Seoul' at the KSPO Dome (former Gymnastics Arena) in Seoul on the 3rd and 4th.

On the 3rd, Soyeon rapped, "Contract ends in November, who's stopping me?" while performing her solo stage. Although Soyeon said, "We'll do this for the rest of our lives," concerns about the contract renewal falling through spread.
