A teaser for the second season of Netflix's "The Squid Game" has been released with the back numbers of the contestants.
"It's time to prepare for the next game, the pendulum is swinging with new contestants," the teaser was posted on Netflix's official channel on the 12th.
The video showed the various numbers of the contestants one by one, including 124, 380, 390, 388, 7. 44, 120, 124, 125, 149, 222, 246, 380, 388, 390, and finally Sung Ki-hoon (played by Lee Jung-jae), who wore the number 456 and looked at the camera.
Director Hwang Dong-hyuk said, "Sung Ki-hoon, who promised revenge at the end of Season 1, returns to the game. Will he be able to succeed in getting his revenge as he said he would?" he said.
The newly released teaser reveals that Sung Ki-hoon, who left the United States at the end of Season 1 with his hair dyed red, will return to the 'Squid Game' with the same participation number as in Season 1, 456, with a neat black hairstyle. As season 2 will feature famous actors such as Yim Siwan, Kang Ha Neul, Wi Hajun, Park Gyu-young, and Yang Dong Geun, the teaser raises questions about the number and its connection to the cast.
The public reacted to the video by saying, "Why are you showing only Lee Jung Jae," "Why are you showing it now, why not show it in November," "I'm looking forward to the number finally being revealed," and "I'm glad he's not a redhead."
Meanwhile, Season 2 of Netflix's "The Squid Game" will be released on 26 December. This will be about three years and three months after the release of season one in September 2021.
