BTS's Jin revealed in June that he had a dream about re-enlisting in the military after being discharged.
On August 26, Harper's BAZAAR Korea uploaded a video titled, “Worldwide Handsome, who ruled the bazaar, is good.”
In the video, Jin appeared in an interview for 'Job Dictionary'. When asked, “What's your nickname?” Jin replied, “When I was in elementary school, I usually made a nickname based on my name, so I was called ‘Kimbap’ or ‘Kimchi’ or something like that. Later, when I was in middle school, high school, and college, I was called ‘Choding’(Elementary school students.)
As for the nickname 'Worldwide Handsome,' he said, “I think I've become more famous than I thought. I made up the nickname and said it in an embarrassing situation, but there are quite a few people who call me that,” he laughed.
“I saw an interview with a French fan who said, 'The army waited for over a year, so what's the big deal about waiting six hours,' and that really stuck with me,” he said, referring to his role as a torchbearer for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games in July.
“I recently played tennis with an elementary school kid and lost 20-0,” says Jin, who calls himself a ‘tennis pro’. I'm so embarrassed that I don't know if I should call it a skill, but I'm not really good at anything except tennis. But I'm the best among my friends,” he said, adding a related story.
When asked, “Do you dream about rejoining the military?” Jin, who retired from the army in June, dismissed it as a “really horrible dream,” but added, “I have. I had a dream that I was in the army, but I woke up and forgot what it was about.”
“Sometimes people ask me, 'Do you remember this?' And I don't remember things like that, so I wish I didn't have to feel bad if I don't remember,” he said. I'm happy in the moment,” he said, adding, ‘But I do remember all the moments I had with the ARMY.’
Finally, when asked, “What do you think of yourself when you see yourself on camera?” Jin replied, “I think I'm handsome. I like it. I'm very happy with my face. Of course, there are many people who are better looking than me, but I'm happy with my face,” he said with confidence.
